Case Study – Belle Vue Square, Skipton

Background

Align Property Partners’ dedicated agency team have helped secure a new tenant for a historic site in Skipton.

Financial services company Computershare are set to move from Gateway House to a new premises just one mile away at Belle Vue Square, off Broughton Road.

Brief

Following local government reorganisation which saw North Yorkshire Council launched in April 2023, Align were instructed to find a tenant for the second floor of Belle Vue Square.

The property was the former headquarters of Craven District Council and now is home to the Craven office of North Yorkshire Council.

Since the reorganisation, the council has downsized their occupancy of the building to ground and first floor – leaving the whole of the second floor vacant.

Align worked alongside the council and the landlord to consider the viability of securing a tenant for this large space in a rural location.

Project outcomes

Align and the council were able to secure a deal that will see Computershare remain in the town, taking over the 9,500 sq ft second floor and third floor office space at Belle Vue Square.

Daniel Clinch, Align’s head of agency, acquisitions and disposals, said: “This was a fantastic example of collaborative working and problem-solving in order to reach a positive outcome for all parties involved.

“At Align, we are passionate about providing the best level of service – and this shows that we are a company trusted across North Yorkshire and beyond to take the lead on important property projects for our clients.”
