Talented sixth form students offered pathway for future career progression

Our Managing Director Ron Walton has been meeting with sixth form students across the region to talk about apprenticeship degrees in construction consultancy.

Earlier this month, he visited Northallerton School and Sixth Form College along with one of our current degree apprentices, Jacob, to talk to a group of 16 and 17-year-old pupils.

Since September 2021, Align Property Partners have taken on 28 apprentices who are each offered sponsored training with a progression through to degree level.

From building surveying through to mechanical and electrical engineering, an apprenticeship at our multi-disciplinary company offers students a fantastic chance to develop their skills and a clear pathway for future career progression.

Throughout the year, we at Align visit schools and colleges across North Yorkshire and beyond to talk to students about what we do and the opportunities available to them.

Ron said: “It’s always fantastic to visit local schools and colleges to speak to students about the opportunities available to them in our industry.

“We know first-hand through our apprenticeship and work experience schemes just how passionate and talented young people here in the North East are.

“That’s why it’s crucial that we continue to help create a pathway for students to learn and develop their skills, so they can hopefully make a real difference in their communities and achieve extraordinary things.

“We would always encourage any students interested in a possible career in white collar construction to get in touch, and see what opportunities lie right here on your doorstep.”

After visiting local schools and colleges, the feedback has been fantastic. It’s been great to see so many young people interested in the sector and we hope to welcome some of them in the future.
